Be advised that I just received word from Cyberheli.Com that the Voyager 50 IMZ helicopter kit has been discontinued and that JR has no more stock on that aircraft. To those of you, lucky enough to have an IMZ in one piece, hold on to it and treat it with tender, loving care.

For what it's worth, here is the text of the email I received this morning from Cyberheli:

Dear Mr Holliday,

We have been advised that the IMZ has been discontinued and there is no more stock at JR. Therefore we will not be able to deliver. Your order is canceled and your credit card had not been charged at all.

If you like to take the new Sylphide 50 instead, we like to take this opportunity to offer you a one time 10% discount to make up for your trouble.

By the way, before everyone jumps and thinks Cyberheli is doing me such a wonderful favor, the Sylphide 50 goes for $1099.00 and you can do the math. The text of my response is below:

This is extremely aggravating to me because I just destroyed my IMZ in a crash this past weekend and had counted on flying the aircraft in an upcoming contest. I will purchase the Sylphide 50 under two conditions, one that you sell it to me with a “one-time” 20% discount and number two, that you include with the kit, an engine mount for an OS-50. Otherwise, you have lost a customer who will not deal with you again. You should have known, before you accepted my order, that the IMZ was no longer available. If you choose to accept my counter-offer, I also want the shipping moved up to “fastest possible.” If accepted, I also want an acknowledgement of your acceptance.

would someone be willing to send me a sylphide to sponser my heli hobby. i am a good kid and i just need the right person to take me under their wings and show me the way.

this would appeal to someone who cant have kids or cant find a gf to make some kidz i will be your son if you buy me a sylphide, i will even let you watch me fly it or i will send you pics and videos (providing you send me a video camera cuz i dont have one) i can handle stills though just fine.

I understand your frustration, but surely its not CHRC's fault that JR withdrew the IMZ without telling them..

I would have thought a 10% discount on the Sylphide was a good offer... if you get 20% then more power to your elbow..

If they dont go for it, you will still be left without a machine, and its still not CHRC's fault...

Pretty ballsy, I can't believe you think your owed something special. I'm sure Cyberheli wants to sell you an IMZ just as bad as you want one. The IMZ's are a limited production run, they make so many and then hold off for a while. Wait a while and they may be producing them again.

This is one of the problems with the Internet, we all have the urge to let it hang online when someone tinkles on us from a great height or at least we think they do. A simple call to Visa could have settled this to verify the charge.

This should have been handled privately.

Many know Cyberheli and Stephen alone is very trust worthy and a straight shooter. If he says the card was not debited I have no doubt in his word. You can tell by the invoice that he believed the IMZ's were available at the time of your order, I'm sure he got the word from JR that they were discontinued when trying to order your kit. I'm sure you are disappointed, I owned an IMZ and it is an excellent heli. I bet the Sylphide 50 would have been an excellent choice.
